How does Lucky Hit actually work?

What sort of things does Lucky Hit effect? Is it only percentage-based Trigger effects on weapon hits/attacks, or does it increase the likelihood of crits and repeat attacks and whatnot? In the former case it feels rather limited.

Lucky Hit and Cursed Hit both affect all chance based things. Critical Hit chance, Sneaky Hit chance, Trigger chance, Repeat chance, etc.
