What are everyone's favorite classes?
Of the original game classes, my favorite is hands down the sorcerer. It's really hard to beat 11 free soul hearts every run. I also really like the reworked Cleric, the bonus revive is a decently strong ability and starting with a King Bible gives a better chance of finding either the Unholy or Matrix Bibles which are solid weapons for late game.

Of the new classes, I've been enjoying the Dancer. She's not overpowered, but she's actually pretty strong, mainly I use her because high attack speed is my favorite way to play and she has an ability that's good with lots of attacks and starts with a throwing weapon to make finding Glaives easier. I also really love the Necromancer. The second I saw their power I knew they would be strong. Even with having to buy items to get to stage twelve, its still trivially easy to get more than a 100% damage bonus by the end game.

I think my absolute favorite of the new classes though is the Demon Hunter. So, he gets rooms with double the items, and also gets more variety in the enemies he fights. It's a downside on paper, but from a perspective of just how fun it is, it's really a win-win. The only downside is how random tainted rooms are, I think it would be cool if there was some sort of way you could increase your chance.

I like crits and attack speed. So I guess Barbarian.

Wanderer has always been my main from a perspective of seeing as much of the game as I can. The rework has made it even better at that; giving a guaranteed event room on every floor and a point of EXP whenever you visit them is a lot of weird stuff that other classes will have more trouble justifying.

Of the new ones, Esper and Cyborg massively change the game on you with their unique abilities while Alchemist and Super Hero break the game in funny ways. Bard and Druid are trying their best but they aren't quite there yet.

I need help with Bard...

The wizard feels like the strongest to me; three bonus mana is pretty massive. Although the one I have the most fun playing is probably enchanter, since I like doubling stuff and seeing how everything breaks. Least favorite... probably either Bard or Dragoon. I like the concept behind Bard, but, currently feels weird, and I get frustrated over the fact that it's hard to make the really splashy stuff work (I /really/ want to make Song of Acceptance a thing, but there's like, /one/ emotion buff that doesn't come from songs, and you can't switch songs in combat). As for Dragoon... there's just not enough stuff that really cares about close/far range, and of the stuff that does, most of it isn't that interesting.
I played two rounds as Alchemist (beating stage 12 both times) and I seriously think he might be the strongest class in the game. The Alchemist is more or less guaranteed to get multiple Legendary items which is a significant upgrade given how strong some of them can be. Getting something like the Lightning Javelin or the V.B.F.G is practically a run winner. If upgrading weapons was the only thing the Alchemist could do, he'd still be overpowered, but he also gets free potions and can reroll items because why not?

The problem is that the emotion buffs that don't come from songs are mostly tied to Bard's lowest stat, the one that most instruments don't scale to. It's like the Ice-type in Pokemon, the decisions individually make sense but are rather unfortunate when combined and caring about balance.

My problem with Bard is that you have to use Sound weapons. Monk is the only other character that is so damn limited with their character power, but at least Monk only sucks because Unarmed weapons aren't in the game yet.

I mean, you can burn your starting gift and a charm slot on the Radio (which will be more reasonable once they nerf Soul Scarf).

Likewise, we already have the closest we'll ever get to "unarmed weapons" with gloves boosting the scaling and damage on unarmed attacks. Asking for anything else just shows you don't know what words mean, especially since there's a selection of gloves that provide additional boosts to unarmed attacks specifically (Cyborg's starting gloves are the most blatant).

You're still playing with a slot down and extremely limited item selection because you need unarmed boosters only. I see literally no downside to adding something like brass knuckles or cestus as unarmed weapon options.

As for radio, do you really want to sacrifice another slot?
I honestly think the Dragoon's power is really cool, but it just doesn't have enough support yet. They (and the body damage focused classes like Monk) feel like set up for stuff that will be added later.

Samurai is definitely up there for me alongside Necromancer. I don't think anything is close to how fun Demon Hunter is for me, though

I've only unlocked a few of the new classes, but Eleven (Esper) is freaking hilarious. If you get the build right, you just walk into the room and everything just explodes instantly.

So far, Druid. The versatility of the summon buffs create opportunities to patch up what your build may be lacking in due to bad RNG.

pro tip for bard, use the radio as the starting gift and you do not need to play with an instrument weapon for the benefits of the songs, the radio does sound damage as a charm.
I like the gunslinger, i think i just like the cowboy ascetic
