All 3 alignment shops should be guaranteed

It really sucks that sometimes the game does not even give you the option of attempting the ending you want.

2 times now, I've tried taking the ranger to the infernal throne to unlock the demon hunter class. Both of those times, I've been offered 0 evil shops. In my last run, floor 3 had law and good shops. Floor 6 had law and good shops again. Floor 9 had a single good shop.

I did not interact with any of those shops on purpose, thinking that the game might give different weights to which shops spawn depending on your current alignment. Seems like it does not. The ranger also starts at 0 alignment (neutral), which means nothing skewed the spawning of alignment shops towards either way.

It's really infuriating failing to unlock a class because the game did not even give you the option to attempt it. Those runs were great, I would have stomped the boss, but I didn't even get to try.

The appearance of good/evil shops definitely does depend on current alignment, but infuriatingly it's just random if they show up at all for neutral characters, which I do hope gets changed.

That's what I thought, thanks for confirming it.

There really should be some kind of ''pity'' mechanic. Something like, a guaranteed spawn of the missing alignment shop type on floor 6 and 9 if you didn't buy anything from the shops you did not want on floor 3.

It's not only about alignment shops, you can buy illegal gun part, buy / sell in a black market etc (for evil alignment) this way you won't be neutral anymore and an evil shop should show up (I guess ?) I might be lucky, I only had one run where I wasn't able to get the shop I needed

Same situation. Got to the 2nd to last floor and saw no door. Felt really bad; 2nd worst feeling run. But does seem rare; it was the only time in around 50 runs.
(Top worst run was taking glass cannon on floor 2 and never seeing a strength or equip load upgrade until i died on Hell 1 boss phase 2 - I don't even know the odds on that).
