In fact, I'm playing full Cinder (I have 100% achievements already). With proper build and BHS you can kill bosses almost instantly even with Cinder 16.
To make it, you upgrade BHS to 3 level with Mithril in your inventory (you can even upgrade BHS to 3 level before getting Mithril, in that case sword will transform next time you visit blacksmith with Mithril), This will get you unupgraded Hero Sword, which you must upgrade to 4 level with -flex material (voltflex, darkflex, brightflex etc.) in your inventory.
So, basically, you need 120 gold, 2 boss rewards and 1 Whetstone.
But, IMO, it is a pretty glaring ballance issue. Developer himself written earlier:
"That being said, I still will nerf things that trivialize the game too much.
When the final final boss is getting killed within 10 seconds, things might got a bit out of hand."
I've been using Bandit for the extra gold gain, which helps with getting the 120 gold you need for the upgrades. The final forms of this weapon are so overpowered that as soon as you get it you've basically won the run. So the earlier you can get it to its final form, the better.
