Voltflex
Anyone found a use for Voltflex yet? Mithril has an interaction with the broken hero sword - I thought Voltflex might have something to do with the Hero's Sword. But alas, nothing happened when I had both.

Upgrade the hero sword to +4 and you get a shock themed version.

If you upgrade the broken hero sword to +3 with Mithril you get the hero sword and then if you have voltfelx and upgrade the hero sword to +4 you should get a different sword

As the other guys said, you were on the right track but gave up too soon. Upgrade the Hero Sword to the real maximum with any of the"-flex" metals in your inventory to get the most hilariously overpowered weapon in the game. The specific nature of it varies depending on which you use, but most bosses aren't even going to get an attack off once you've completed it. (With a proper build layered on top, even Death doesn't!)
