IMHO, the strongest CONSISTENT character is definitely the mage when you get +3 mana perk, + 75% damage per mana, +15% (I think?) damage from soul hearts... throw in something like kugelblitz with big brain helmet, and that's GG
Kugelblitz, Holy Staff, Scroll of Comets, Staff of Unlimited Power... These win games.
Lvl 3 or 4, A-Tier or S-Tier, Magic Weapon + Damage-Related Traits = Win.
Still, those Traits do make a difference...
Damage-Related Traits are +Damage, +Attack Rate, +Mana Stars, +DMG from Mana Stars, etc. Anything that greatly increases your DPS (Damage Per Second).
Proficiencies, btw, are not worth it, as far as I can tell. Proficiencies might raise your DMG by +20% at the most, but only for some weapons. Meanwhile, Rampage can give you up to +45% DMG, Adrenaline is +40% when you get hit, and both Alacrity and Ruthless are an easy +30ish% DPS.
Also don't forget the Beers. Take full advantage of the Tavern, but save up for the 10th Floor, to get as drunk as your health will let you, then go run amok on Death.
So two stumpy hands and only one of those hands has a finger on it? Looks like the game throws a lot of rings at you.
10 fingers and only 1 ring allowed seems like wasted opportunity. I'd better understand the complications involved with trying to wear two pieces of chest armor at the same time or wielding two 2H swords in one hand and then a shield in the other.
Only 1 ring? I hope that changes, the game currently looks amazing.
These have nothing to do with post-v0.2.0 builds...
