Upgrade weapon to level 4?

What am I missing?

The arms dealer in the tavern will give you illegal gun parts to upgrade your weapon to level 4, given that it is a gun or cannon. It costs 30 gold to buy. He doesn't always spawn and it's at the top left.

In the later stages sometimes the blacksmith will be replaced by a greyish balding guy who can enhance up to +4 instead of the usual +3.

thanks pawkien, will be trying that. also in the end when the red eye comes for you, does something change if you get the red eyes before you get there? i dont rly have time to experiment myself so if you know pls let me know with a spoiler tag

Unlock more characters and you'll be able to make it through the hallway... the developer is still working on more content is all I'll say..

There's a way to reach the end of the hallway. Defeat death 5 times, and blue doors start showing up on boss rooms 3, 6, and 9.

If you wish for power from a Djinn, he upgrades your weapon, which can also break the +3 cap

There's also a forge that will upgrade weapons using souls
