If you are talking about Mega Death, its going to take a bit more than good items to beat him
No idea what build is going to beat him twice. i accidentally eraesd my pylon buff with another weapon enchantment maybe that would've made the diff?
He has much higher health BECAUSE he's expecting you to have a hyper-inflated build. I'm not sure if it's like the final boss of Risk of Rain where he actually scales based on your own scaling, but he's always gonna be tanky. You won't be able to cheese his phases through damage entirely, but if you haven't been using bombs as a damage tool, they can speed up the pace of the fight by a bit - I'd of course save them for his second phase.
Mega Death is just hard, plain and simple. You're going to just have to spend several runs dying while learning his patterns to beat him when you get there. His health pool is even more massive - even your best damage builds will still take about 2 or 3 cycles of his full moveset to kill him - each phase. Which is why you'll need to know his patterns inside and out. No lucky breaks.
