Save Game and/or Checkpoint Methods

Does this game support manual saving at any time? Quicksaving?
Does it only use checkpoints? If so, are they spaced closely together at 5-10 minutes?
Can you quit the game and come straight back to the checkpoint, or must you repeat the entire level in one sitting if you intend to leave the game?

With kids and work and whatnot, I'm hoping some other people have taken note of this. It's one of the first things I try to check about a game nowadays.

You can manually/quicksave at any time, and the game automatically checkpoints/autosaves every time you go through a door between levels.

Excellent! Thanks for the clarification and info. Can't wait to buy it. It looks very cool and I've heard great things about it. Forced long play sessions kill games for me now, though, so this makes it a very easy buy.
