Why you can't identify cheater's then? You the one getting clapped and crying not me lmao.
I have encountered like 2 blatant cheater's in my 80hours, so don't tell me the game is full of cheater's.
Also the game does not even have a real SBMM system lmao. So how am I getting the thrash lobbies all day ?
Just curious where you got your KD from ?
By default, the game connects you to all servers. In the main menu in the lower right part of the screen you will find a button responsible for selecting a server. Click on it and tick only the server where you have the lowest ping.
P.S. Also note that Shatterline went into early access only a month ago. The game needs to collect more data to create a normal balance. Also, it is probably necessary to finalize the auto balance system itself.
Is it? I can't think of any experiences where I felt like my hit reg or connection was unacceptable.
And to OP, while I'm not discounting the possibility of cheaters, the more you get to know the maps, the more often you're going to shoot people as soon as they show their face. Especially with the existence of those drones that highlight the enemy in red through walls. I'm sure there are cheaters, but there are also *REALLY* experienced players that know the map extremely well and can seem like cheaters.
maybe because its a wip, when the actual rank system drops (if they make it) it goes down to my regular
A human can be in an insane shape, stay focused and consistent all game long, but even if rounds are short i do believe it is rare when it happens, someone always have a bland moment (losing the streak / tracks of ennemies, intuitions / good feelings...).
Sometimes our ego and frustration can make us lie and we won't truly accept the reality that one won the duel but it is a question of balance , in life : when it is too much with a never miss in a full match with an improbable bullet path, you know that's not normal.
A last thing, I also do believe there will be never a 100% reliable anti-system from any softwares, even more thanks to "watchers" "admins" but a balance of both should help to keep a game largely aways from them and paradoxally the most efficient way I've experience was on Unreal Tournament 2004 : there were clans / admins / moderator (can't remember the exact name :p) that held servers , with there own anti-cheat software / version allowed by the game (very moddable game at that time) and sometimes, even my own teammates randomly (and discretly) suddenly took admin powers during a game to scan me , even in a middle of a match and took CONTROLS of players : my computer suddenly froze for a second and I Couldn't do anything at all but watching someone else trying my weapons and even seeing a potential "Randbone" system (seeing through wall, tracking system) even if it is not installed on its computer.
A bit annoying but extremely efficient, it never missed a cheater this way and they did it even if nothing special was suspectious and target random players.
Because a simple "report system" WIll always leads to unfairs and vengefuls "strikes" or even "honnest" players that make a mystakes.
I feel like in some games , "admins" don't care and ban someone without evidence but after a certain amount of complain on one person, it is enough for them.
I had a very few but still unfair kicks in my whole life (~20 years of online play), even a ban on an UT2004 server whn I came In for the first time and shoot flyings and hoovering vehicules (Raptors / Manta) without a miss with an accurate weapon (primary shockrifle fire), noone talked to me I was directly ban ^^'
But i was mainly standing still :p and i was part of veteran players (doing internationals cups) so, there were a gap of game experience they didn't had / and wouldn't expect to happens with no cheats (was a new server with newer players to me)
So to conclude, Cheats and Hacks are the cancer of games and leads to a quick fall of them, but it's very tactful to take the right decision when you ban someone : good players can suffers from this too and even if an human is less reliable than a machin, i still feel like a manual but true verification (video or even remote-playing with the ability to see everything from the real player screen -some Trainers prevents other to see what the local player sees) is certainly the best , with true and honnest admins.
