Was moreso curiosity. Curiosity as to how the heck I don't have tearing when the framerate exceeds my refresh rate. Curiosity as to how/why vsync locked it to 120 which was clearly double my refresh rate and the point of vsync is to lock to ones refresh rate.
#2 was the "bad" thing.
Again, it's been quite a while since I beat the game, I barely remember what it was like, and I have no intention of playing it again. So don't really care if I get answers now.
120FPS gameplay without tearing
30FPS cutscenes
LOL
Go to: C:\Users\***YourProfileNameHere***\AppData\Local\BladesOfTime\settings.blk
Open the settings.blk by either C&P the address, or the blk file itself and un-check the box that says: "always use this app to open..." and instead, choose the notepad or word pad and navigate to this area:
video{
windowed:b=no
video:b=yes
vsync:b=yes
min_target_size:i=2048
vsync30fps:b=yes <--[Change this, to this!]--> vsync60fps:b=yes
postfx_antialiasing:t="high"
resolution:t="1440x900"
}
And, voila! say fv<k off to that s#itty 30FPS bulls#|t!
Oh, and you can enable god-mode here as well!
Didn't work for me. I am running the game windowed, if that makes a difference
Old but gold, it just worked for me, thank you!!
Actually, nevermind. The game runs pretty cool on my GPU despite being 120fps! Some games can be a bit hit or miss in this regard but this one wont be a problem!
Fps doesn't really effect temps that much. And this game isn't graphically intense. If I were you, for any game, just try for the highest fps that doesn't exceed your refresh rate....unless you don't have gsync/freesync, then you'll need to cap. With this game though, if you have a 60hz monitor and the fps is 120 you won't get tearing because it's exactly double the refresh.
