I think the only players that actually see use out of it are those that live and breathe these games.
Casual players have no clue what you're talking about.
"I've found a thing that ruins the game for me in a single player game, and I have no self-restraint to not use it, so I'll ask for it to be removed for everyone else who may actually enjoy feeling slightly overpowered. I'm just that weak-willed and weak-minded."
Seems accurate to me.
You might not have seen, and I think this is good news, chicken charm was bugged and they patched it.
It's still great, if you follow the text on it and keep your distance from bosses. Now you can be overpowered with whichever charm you like. As TsMonkeyPatch says, 'the goal of the game is to be so strong at the end you can kill everything', and it's fun to find all the many ways to do this.
I get what you're saying. Like super strong overpowered feels awesome and should be part of the game but ideally you can feel overpowered with other charms too. If you were getting the nagging feeling that you're gimping yourself if you didn't upgrade your ducky into a chicken, worry no more!
It's not even a competitive game. I want to eventually feel OP in games like this, but nerfs just ruin everything.
That's one area vampire survivors is better, that you become a god by the end of the run.
The problem is that once you kill a boss it gives an infinite amount of damage boost related to your distance to the corpse of the boss, so when you pick it and kill a boss you immediately start one-shotting everything on screen.
"Fixed an issue where the 'Chicken Charm' provided an incorrect amount of Bullet Damage", this is from like 2 patches ago...
Are you running a .... legit version of the game? In the current steam build that issue got fixed, it's still strong, but not broken.
