How do you install mods that you buy from the Robot?
Do I have to unlock workbench or something?

Augments are the things you choose randomly when leveling up.
Weapons are chosen at the start of a match.
Genes have to be purchased then equipped via the gene equip machine.

They are unlocks for your components to be upgraded in-run. After purchasing from the Arms Dealer robot, upgrades will then be able to go to tier 3 and tier 4.

You buy it. Its in the room where you buy the genes.

Is there a way to turn them back off again? Most games of this type have a way to select the pool that they get picked from.
