The Assault Rifle might be OP
Great game! I'm really enjoying it. I've killed the bosses maybe 4 times, and gotten all but the last weapon.

My only real feedback is that the assault rifle seems to be the best weapon with no real reason to ever try anything else. It stacks well with the helix barrel and chevron charm, so that I'm doing ~50 base damage (200 crit, with !00% chance) by the end of the run. Add explosive or split rounds to that, and everything simply melts.

on the other extreme, you have the Teslation Carbine, which struggles to beat even the first boss no matter what build you take.

Every other gun has a neat gimmick, but just isn't a good base for upgrades.

The Assault rifle has a bigger magazine and a faster reload than the SMG?! And the SMG's damage drops off with range?

And the fact that you can get explosive ammo for it, and then be a better rocket launcher than both the RPG and the Hydra?
I concur the assault rifle is unimaginably powerful with explosive rounds and fast fire rate you can go ten times farther than any other gun (that I currently own also any opinions on the rocket launcher?)

RPG is the most op, so op that you cant even play the game due to lag if you augment it a certain way, such as split bullet+max firerate.

I reached 220,000 dps with the RPG compared to the best Pistol i got which was 30,000 dps

I am new to game and I struggle a lot..Can you suggest a path of upgrades I should take to make it op?

Assault rifle + chevron charm(bonus damage for every kill) + Explosive Bullets
Then get your critical chance to anything above 75%

This is dependant on you actually being offered the chevron charm at all, let alone early on enough for the damage to stack that high.

That's another issue: all the best runs require the chevron charm. They should probably get rid of it and boost all the other damage buffs.

seems extremely easy to max crit% to the point of "wasting" buffs. 3 or so boss drops (for the money / xp buff) will do it and then you find all those +crit parts... whatever happened to 300% uncapped crit% and all?

Personally, I'm more for them changing all the other charms to build up their effects per kill, as it is- the Chevron charm is the only viable charm long term, with all the others giving worthless boosts even if you build around them.

The withered heart can help with the ninja achievement(you can get you up to atleast 90 dodge, I had 50 dodge from gun butter, not sure if it caps there, but the item stopped showing up)

The Hydra makes it easier to get the sharpshooter achievement if both your character and the drone(if you use it) have them due to the homing missles.

The Hydra can be good if you build it right, just avoid the upgrade that splits bullets into 3 on impact, it tends to kill your fps.

The Chevron can be on the drone's weapon and still benefit the player, ideally give it a weapon that you got the chevron early on.

I've gotten to 130 dodge with gun butter. RNG can be weird.

Can you dodge every attack with a dodge that high?
Scyris Feb 9, 2024 @ 2:45pm
My friend has made a shotgun that does like 13000-30000 dps or something nutty on the target dummies. Each shot fires like 60 bullets that each splits on hit or something insane, basically there is so many damage numbers on screen that the game lags and the audio glitches/cuts out due to so many hits at the same time.
