PATRONS
We're grateful to all of our patrons on Patreon and SubscribeStar who have supported us for so many years and have encouraged us with nothing but positive things to say about our work!
It was difficult with such a small team (only two people full-time!) and serious life issues that forced us to put the project on pause at times. Furthermore, we learned that the originally proposed game scope from 2020 and earlier would only be possible if we were able to develop the game in multiple parts, similar to Deltarune or Valve's own Half-Life 2 Episodes. We decided to provide the game in acts that are cheaper and split the cost of the overall game, which is why Act 1 is only $9.99 even though it has more quality and content (especially animations) than other games of this price.
Despite the turbulence, the people who funded this continue to keep going because we are honest with them and continue to provide updates to them on a regular basis. We're also growing wiser as developers and gradually increasing the size of our team.
STEAM
To interject briefly on the history, I want to say it is a great honor for us to be on Steam! Valve is an amazing company with the best gaming platform. Period. Every time I tell someone we're releasing on Steam, there's nothing but excitement and praise! You'll always get the best experience and deals here on Steam.
ITCH.IO
Over on itch.io, we continued to answer questions in the comments for all those years, but were unable to provide updates while we were developing the game. It is normal for developers to abstain from public communication while their games are being developed, and then pick up publicity as the game is finished.
We would have loved to update everyone everywhere, but it all takes time. Even this message I'm typing now is delaying the game development by several minutes, so I'll try to wrap up soon! We have no PR department; we have one programmer and one artist, and everything else gets lumped on top of us as more work. We had to focus on two core priorities: 1. finish development of the game, and 2. update the patrons who are backing us financially.
That said, our itch.io store page for OSH will be revamped soon! And going forward, it will get all of the same updates as Steam for Act 1 including certain post-launch content that will be added for free.
YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS
We're looking for constructive feedback, good or bad. We're not perfect and we are always looking for opportunities to improve. Comments that are not constructive will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned. Ironically, the very few people who are vocally opposed have never supported our game, don't understand the game development process, and lump us in the same category as some other NSFW games with stalled or protracted development. Unlike those projects, our game has an entire first Act complete and releasing on Steam on 5/23/25!
That's all for now! We'll update you all again as we approach release! Ribbit~
