Diva's final boss
I don't want to give any spoilers but her final boss seems almost impossible to beat on a first playthrough.

I'm reading some people say their first playthrough with other characters were 3-6 hours. I'm roughly 25 hours in and just now getting to her final boss.

Does anyone know if its possible to unlock extra difficult versions of final bosses like in Scarlet Grace?

I believe verticle smash is a defense debuff option for two handed swords.

Yeah definitely option. It’s hard if Boudica is my only debuffer and stacking 3 ATK then 3 DEF downs etc. I have to check the BP required… if I remember Vertical Smash was 4-5BP, hopefully less…martial arts seem weak in comparison but cheap BP for def down and easier to get united attacks in. I’m indecisive lol

Vertical Smash and most other defense debuff techs (Shelter Break, Churning Earth) cost 4 BP. The only other 2BP Defense Debuff tech I've found is Blood Stun which is a Blood Tech and thus exclusive to Siugnas' route only. Shelter Break is a Two Handed Gun Tech that does have a custom variation that costs 3BP. Churning Earth is the highest tier Earth Spell which you'll not learn in one playthrough.
Break Armor is a monster skill learned from werewolves that is a relatively cheap defense down. Mechs can equip relics, and the higher-tier ones are actually really beefy in terms of stats.

You can look for formations that give BP cost down in certain slots (for instance, the forward three slots of Speculation). There's also gear that cuts the BP cost of skills down after 5 turns.

Blath in the Elder Guard role (2h sword focus) gets -1 BP on all two-handed skills and can push the cost down further with Verity Rise. You'd likely have to work to bring her 2h sword skill up over a few reincarnations to get her to swap roles, which can take a while. Being stuck at 1 LP can be rough if you're already struggling. Also remember that she can't use Custom Techs at all as an Ephemeral. These are some of the tradeoffs and considerations to be made if you do use her.

As an example, Break Shelter (2h gun skill, lowers defense) goes from 4BP to 1BP if used by Blath with the Elder Shooter role (-1 BP for 2H guns) in the point position of the Speculation formation. It's a pretty big boost! Lets you keep pressure even with the rough BP/turn conditions.
I have been grinding at the red portal before the boss. I have decided to have three Meca, the plant girl for her debuts and the blonde lady for dps. I’m trying to have five be my tank. I am buffing her def up. I have finally burning through the elemental golems but I am getting melted by the bosses aoe. The meds are just getting trashed. I made runner boots and I am trying to put on all of my magic res stuff.

How do you survive those Aeo. Will camouflage help my mega? I am also struggling with meaningful dps against the main boss. Any ideas?
Use Guardian Program and Deflect to protect your characters against AOEs. Parry and defend with characters you aren't protecting. Two characters using Guardian Program/Deflect will mean that only 3 characters get hit by the AOE, and those that do get hit take reduced damage (or probably evade in the case of Parry). The characters that are protected can attack safely.

If you're taking too much damage though Defense/Protect actions, your armor might be a bit low. Make sure to build up electric defense on your tanks along with the basic blunt/slash/pierce. Diva's final Virginia body comes with naturally high Electric defense, incidentally. Mech defenses are heavily reliant on the tier of gear they have equipped, so don't hold back on upgrades. The relics you can obtain from Mr. S's trials are really good in this regard. In general, just spend as many resources as you can to get your gear up to date.

I think Camouflage/Stealth Mode just reduces your aggro? AOEs are still going to target you because that's what they do.

Interrupts are pretty good against One World like they are against the Terracotta Warriors since they tend to be unblockable provided you have the skill slots for them. One for One (1h gun) and Guanyin (unarmed, punching(?)) are some other unblockable techs if you're really struggling against its block rate.
