Diva's final boss
I don't want to give any spoilers but her final boss seems almost impossible to beat on a first playthrough.

I'm reading some people say their first playthrough with other characters were 3-6 hours. I'm roughly 25 hours in and just now getting to her final boss.

Does anyone know if its possible to unlock extra difficult versions of final bosses like in Scarlet Grace?

It's all scaling, and there's multiple versions of the final boss fights. The game code extracted suggested there are ultimate versions, but also most characters have multiple plot routes that lead to different boss fights and endings (or no boss fights at all, as is the case for the ~4 hour playthroughs with Ameya and Mido).

If you're at a fight with 4 totem looking dudes after a fight with C, my recommendation is really use Interrupts, Chains, and Pursuits. The boss starts with a triple damage debuff.

The next phase no longer starts with a debuff, but his adds are easier to deal with. Focus on debuffing the boss (both defense and offense) and do big hits + showstoppers, IMO.

Hey man thanks, this worked. I farmed for a couple of hours for the right materials to make just a couple of hard hitters then I just used interrupts and pursuits. Worked great. Thanks again.

Made the wrong character choice for my first playthrough. My team isn't built well to handle that last boss phase.

No where to get materials except the rng shop. No where to explore or go, just stuck repeating the same battle door. This is such a severe downgrade from scarlet grace.

You can almost certainly just switch your entire team to mechs, reequip them, do 2 or 3 red door battles, and then be in a spot to really take on the boss. It's a hard fight because of the depth of the battle system, not because the game hasn't given you a giant bag of tools to deal with it.

Managed to finish the playthrough, but I still think Diva is an absolutely horrible first playthrough character. You're much better served playing her in a NG+, particularly with how gear dependent mechs are designed.

edit: After getting some sleep, I will admit it was a memorable and great fight that forced me to use different set ups for each phase of the boss.

it was tough but id chalk that up entirely to me not realizing the manager telling you not to use him as a fighter was a hint that he would leave at some point. needless to say, after having him in my active roster the entire playthrough, him leaving immediately before the final boss and leaving me with 4 party members + whatever dead weight untrained character i threw in was a serious pain in the ass. other than that it was fine, especially once i realized that the terracotta warriors dont actually have 100% block chance. also once i remembered that units cant block or avoid attacks made during overdrive it was quite straightforward.

Constantine's a strange case because the game already has an instance of a character that you can't use in your active fighting squad (General).

Any random Mech from your bench is going to be better than the Ephemeral or the Monster character, with nearly zero grinding or prep other than just choosing their equipment well. Both Diva's and Siugnas' final bosses reward you with playing with the main mechanics from their respective campaigns.

C is my main debuffer as martial arts and flowing slash. Is there an equipment skill to have mechs debuff attack and defense? I suppose Boudica has flowing slash but uses a katana for poison so I could just have her learn martial arts for the defense down.

I’m nervous but excited to fight it. I am on NG+ and hope I don’t get the ultimate version lol.

I believe verticle smash is a defense debuff option for two handed swords.

Yeah definitely option. It’s hard if Boudica is my only debuffer and stacking 3 ATK then 3 DEF downs etc. I have to check the BP required… if I remember Vertical Smash was 4-5BP, hopefully less…martial arts seem weak in comparison but cheap BP for def down and easier to get united attacks in. I’m indecisive lol

I’m not having issues with the first form. I’m struggling with the second form. The metal heads take forever to take down. Stuns don’t seem to stick. I am trying to create paralysis res gear, but I don’t know what path to get to that.
ChickenStrip May 8, 2024 @ 1:45pm
The heads are weak to elemental damage, and when something starts casting just start focusing on them because killing them will make them basically have wasted their BP.

Is there a chart showing the elemental weaknesses for earth Fire and Water type mobs?

You can see if an enemy is weak to an attack when their name tab on the right side of the screen is flashing and red.
