I don't think this game sits on the top of Saga games like Romancing Saga 3 or Saga Frontier 1/2, but it's fine and I'm enjoying it. Enjoying the game is the entire point, so as long as you have that then you can say it's a success.
Also, Ameya Aisling's scenario is more beginner-friendly -- even Mido and Diva had more choices in the demo.
That said the game is way more obtuse than scarlet grace and on top of that the interface is way worse here. Upgrading items and managing techs on your retinue is a nightmare.
Not sure how exactly that pans out but you can see the seeds of those statements with the events that dissapear.
I see this is an evolution of Scarlet Grace's quests that had a lot of variation on how to go about them. But, it seems the mindset this time was to focus on shorter scenarios so they would be replayed more.
I liked the graphics of Scarlet Grace better. The washed out color aesthetic doesn't really work for me but... the gameplay is rock solid and the music is awesome, always.
For me, the game was absolutely worth the purchase.
Also attacks with Delay, like the Brusque Slice from short swords/knives.
The combat is some of the best in the genre.
For her, yes. But she can also learn spells normally. I learned Holy Water in my 1st run with Ameya.
I am testing out the details but it looks to be tied to skill level and usage of spells of the same element.
I am enjoying the game but I feel it’s a super casual saga game. For me the sense of exploration is gone like you had in minstrel. The combat is super easy once you get the timing down.
Does anyone else feel like I do?
