What even is this?

I've played an older SaGa game, and the mobile game. But what the hell is this? This doesn't seem like either of the ones I've played, and it's the ugliest game I've ever seen. The dialog is complete nonsense, and the voice acting is horrible. Who is this supposed to appeal to? Why does it look like it does? It's bad to the point that it can't be a stylistic choice...can it?

SaGa are very different throughout the entries. This game is in the style of Scarlet Grace.

I enjoyed Scarlet Grace, and this seems like a big upgrade over that one.

The focus of Scarlet Grace (and seemingly this one) is the strategic combat. There are some REALLY difficult fights in Scarlet Grace. I'm hoping that's the same in this one.

Every SaGa game is different with each release, this being a direct continuation to Scarlet Grace's gameplay.

Totally agreed on the dialogue and VA.

Not only is the VA poorly delivered, it sounds like it was recorded on a Nokia 3310 or something. Poor, noisy audio.

when was it different on the saga series? check out romancing saga remake its a very very good game but the voices also sucked, it played even kinda into the charme of this game

As for the VA, it's fine. nothing is wrong with it.

That's what I thought, this actually looks fine compared to how Minstrel Song looks like.

its not style or preference thing. The art and graphics of this game are simply downright ugly.

imagine that you do not have to make any animated cutscenes, all you have to do is to render some static screens and even this easy task you fail at..... i mean what the hell is this supposed to mean? the ugliest Square Enix game ever?

Minstrel Song was just a remaster.

Minstrel Song's voices were alright and sounded alright. One of Liam's better villainous laughs blessed this game as well.

I am guessing it is something about diversity and inclusion. Not a surprise that someone who acts like this is the worst game ever would consider that an issue (and I have not seen any real diversity for humans so far).
