Safety car

Do i have to change options to choose to have safety car? Driven over 30 races with a lot of crashes and stuff but no safety car...!!

Have you looked in the race setup prior to actually racing. The screen where you can set the actual skill level etc. Full race with practice, qly etc and also racing line on/off plus other "tweaks". The safety car is listed there and I've had the safety car out in about 3 races, it didn't help me at all as I was midfield, I gained one or two places on pitstops but that's all. This happened at Spa, Monza and also in Singapore.
Also I'm not sure if it, the safety car, only comes out on 100% races, that's the type I race in in the main, I've been in shorter races but not seen the safety car in them though.

hm okey, gonna check that. I only have abour 25% off full race on single player, around 15-20 laps. But in 2011 it came out when i played on that mode

i checked the options and the satefy car is not listed there... are you sure its listed there? Can you describe more where? main menu in career or in the game?

Wtf! I've just looked at the setup screen and the Safety Car was on there the other day and now it's gone. What are they up to? I've had a Steam update since I last played this the other day and now the Safety Car is no more. I still have realistic setup - Flags, Damage etc but no Safety Car. I also notice that the wet weather has improved too.. I can now see rain but still hardly any spray off of the tyres and the rear of the cars either, but that's another issue.

hm that sounds strange hehe!! What are yhea doing! When its raining int the game is more like the track is wet not that is raining. Like you say no spray and pretty ease to see. Damn i want safety car!! ♥♥♥♥

If i go to multiplayer in race settings you can choose safety car on or off. But in career mode on single player on race setting is only how long you want the race weekend to be and camera angle but no safety car options... does that meen that the safety car is only on multiplayer mode? Has anyone had the safety car out in career mode?

I had the safety car come out yesterday in a 25% race (my 11th I think it was). It required me spinning off and then flying out of control back onto the racing line causing a 3 car pile up to actually make it happen though!

I'm interested to know - as anyone ever had a safety car for an incident that the human player had no impact on? The AI never seems to cause incidents by itself.

I had a 50% race in Monaco, dry start, but rain came later, eventually the rain stopped and a dry line developed, soon after, BOOM, Safety Car Deployed, for about two laps, was excellent! I was in the lead too, right behind it, and had to back the pack up when it came in to catch others by surprise when I gunned it! I will upload the video soon and let you know.

Sounds terrific, i want to see the safety car too. F1 2012 on playstation 3 have safety car all the time but PC version seems to have it sometimes only...

its because codemasters ruined the safety car chance.if u guys go onto racedepartment there is a guy who has modded the game so safety car works properly.
