Waiting for other player error

I keep trying to play with my friend on my PC, it works for a while and then my game suddenly says waiting for other player and I'm unable to do anything. Is there any way to fix this? I tried hosting it and it didn't help :(

Can you please share more details? You're playing the game, and then, at some point, it happens? Does it happen at the same moment in the game? Could it be your internet connection?

It doesn't happen at the same point in the game, I think it happens at a certain time point but I can't exactly say when. It does work on my friends end and she has worse internet than me :/

And her game keeps working even when mine doesn't even when I'm the host for some reason

I’m experiencing the same issue. Got stuck on doing nothing and being bored playing it. I haven’t done anything special, yet it suddenly transitions to “Waiting for other player…” screen. I tried force closing the game, but it made us repeat the game from the start, and ruined the experience. Idk, I want to give this a shot, but can’t keep on getting bored and bored while trying it, soooooo 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does the problem happen when you're starting the game or while playing?

same here but when the internet issues pop up, I've been havinfg "waiting ffor other player" the other player can still play the game.
