Corrupted Soul gives impossible attack to Shadow
I got killed by The Corrupted Soul as The Shadow because of it's move "Corrupted Pulse". Since I was Shadow, I couldn't move to a safe space. I know that the gun can move you one space over, but I feel like if that's the only way to beat The Corrupted Soul, that's just really unfair. I didn't even come across it in my run. This is one of my favorite games I've ever played, but having my first day 7 win taken from me was terrible.
Please change the boss's attack to better fit Shadow, or 1 less/more of the arena tiles so that there's always a reachable safe spot for Shadow.

As someone bitter who just lost to that exact scenario, bump

Hey there!

We definitely don't want an "always lose" scenario. We'll investigate on what's doable for this!

Maybe consider offsetting the pulse by one so either the left or right is safe? Looking forward to a fix because shadow is my first and only character that I've made it to day 7 with

The fight before always gives shield potions. Just save them for the final boss.
was this ever fixed
Nothing needs to fix there
hey, new player here. loving the game, but this issue is frustrating
Why don't you use the potions given in the fight before?
update: i was able to beat it by using those two shield potions to avoid damage

Except it does need to be fixed. It's unbeatable without the potions. Literally the only character that has to use an item to not die to that mechanic
So? That's not a good reason at all.
Also, there are other ways around that. You can position enemies smartly when damaging the boss. Or use some of the guardian updates. If you have the combo boon update, you can grind for shield potions at the fight itself.
The point of potions/items are to either further a combo or correct a mistake someone made. I really don't think it should be mandatory for someone to both 1, sacrifice all of their other potions beforehand (Like freeze and fire), and 2, use them immediately when faced with that single attack. Making it so that they basically have to remove all of their other items isn't a great idea for a boss, especially if the player doesn't know, since it may be their first time as well.

Please do something else with your time. The dev has already acknowledged this is an issue.
