A good well-rounded party is a melee fighter (dual wielding), a ranged fighter (bows), a dedicated mage, and a dedicated priest. You may be more effective if you swap out the ranged fighter for either a second dual-wielding fighter or a second mage, but you run the risk of not having sufficient weapons or gold for spells, respectively.
