Burst Rifle bugged? Final boss killed in 5 seconds

I think there is some exponential scaling with the burst rifle, 3rd upgrade where after a shot damages an enemy subsequent shots deal 100% more damage. I killed the boss in 5 seconds in both of my 2 burst rifle runs. Other weapons it consistently takes around 2 minutes with similar builds.

I think it's more due to the fact that bosses are giant sections and the damage scales as it's going through them

You deserve to kill the final boss instantly if you make it that far with the burst rifle.

That perk is pretty busted. I take it and go full damage, with shrapnel -> doom round, and the final boss on hard mode just dies almost instantly as it appears.

had the final boss get instakilled with scythe aswell, probably a bug if its not consistent

Ive had it die instantly with the sniper and take two secs with the shotgun. Probably there-s some pierce shenanigan that is scaling absurdly and needs to be fixed.

the system of the game that some enemies including bosses are tilesets while others are 1 single hitbox makes some talents very, very good against bosses & catterpillars.
scythe with 100% damage on each pierce and the final talent that does the same (and other fitting talents) just blows the final boss up with the first scythe.
and as a high firerate bleed/outflow/burn build you´ll take your sweet time.

I was able to replicate this; killed the final boss in under 10 seconds after stacking the burst rifle's +100%-per-bullet perk on top of the piercing tree's +100%-damage-per-pierced-target with high fire rate.
