Area denial is a step back.
Again, Disfigure was different and that was what made it great! You could just run from a boss as long as you wished until you felt strong enough then fight it. You had to fight it eventually, but it was on your terms.

Now with all the area of denial ♥♥♥♥ it is like every other game -.- stick to the tiny napkin floor that doesn't mean death and you win -.-. Bosses even got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ border. Yes it might feel more difficult but it is boring! every game does it. And with all the movement speed nerfs it is even annoying.

Over all This update gets a BIG :steamthumbsdown: from me for going completely in the wrong direction by trying to be more like the other games of the genre. Be different and own it!

I disagree. Area denial attacks made the game far more interesing than just moving around and shooting. This also improves bosses a lot, they now actually have a purpose and pose a real threat to the player instead of being a giant homing osbtacle. These attack arrows also look amazing. They could have just added some rectangles that shows you where the attacks are.

I've played map 1 a few times, and then played map 2, but I gotta say I far prefer map 1. Part of it has to do with the enemies, of course, but a lot has to do with the bosses. IMO it just feels better.
