The game has been removed from the Switch eShop and can no longer be purchased on Xbox
Still available on Playstation and Steam at the moment, but so far there's been no word from the devs about what's going on. I really don't understand. It's a T-rated game, and the entire Gal*Gun library is still available on Switch.

I'm about to buy the game because of this and I advise people to do the same just in case.
Remember Duel Princess or DT2? Steam is absolutely not beyond banning games that are also sold on consoles for no reason.

I'm still seeing it on Switch shop, are you perhaps from Germany?

It's the US eShop.

Weird. Canada still has it listed.

I was thinking about giving the demo a spin but I guess I won't be.

It may just be a publishing rights transfer to PQube that was poorly set up and will be put back up but now under them.

That's possible I guess, but then why did it only affect Switch and Xbox? And why only in the US specifically?
Big Damn Hero Mar 8, 2023 @ 7:43am
Iirc PQube had the rights from the start for the Sony platform in the west, while for the Switch and Xbox they only had it for the physical release. Being those two platforms specifically is what makes me think this is just a ♥♥♥♥ up and not some delisting due to censoring or whatever (which doesn't make much sense considering Nintendo was fine with the other GG games) but we'll see since Inti hasn't said anything yet, which doesn't surprise me all that much since response time on the english PR side has been slow since Matt left.

I heard it had something to do with rating / publisher.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Yup, there has been a copyright dispute with Outerdawn and their game "Grimguard", a mobile tactics game.

It will be renamed to Gal Guardians (which in my opinions, is actually a much better title anyways).
And depending on the storefront, this can mean that the store entry needs to be removed and reinstated under the new name.

Man that's kinda stupid. Was anyone actually going to confuse "Grimguard" with "Grim Guardians"? Oh well, at least it's not something on Nintendo's and Microsoft's ends.
