Any hints for "Master of Panties" Achievement?

After going back and forth for more than 12 hrs today, I finally got the "alternate" ending.
I assumed I'd get the panties achievement along with it, but apparently not.
I have a few things I haven't tried yet, so I'll maybe do that tomorrow.
Specifically: I'm thinking the two sisters still don't have their underwear so maybe I'll see if I can finisher shot the 2 bosses I haven't done it to. , but I have low hopes.

Not sure how this works... I think there is a pair for every rescued girl? I've about a dozen (maybe) so far. I haven't replayed all the levels yet since the 'normal' ending.

EDIT: So I just went back to the gymnasium and see that undies must be found for each girl. Also, post below this explains it.

After you get all pantsus for the girls there would be a cut scene where one student calls the sisters pantsu masters, then the pantsus for our protagonists would appear in peak tower. One on the top of the ghost room, and one besides the engine part location

Weird. I found both pantsus in Stage 6(Clock Tower). Hope this isn't random.

* As a side note I'm playing this on the Nintendo Switch.

Not sure how many in each stage... but I got like 5 pairs in stage 2!!

From the look of things, you don't get specific pantsus from specific rifts. Rather, all rifts are simply in set locations, and you'll get pantsus one after another based on which girls you've found and which pantsus you've already collected.

Basically, any pantsu can be in any location, and the only way to get them all is to find every single pantsu rift in the game. (I just finished collecting them all myself. My final 2 were in Stage 7 and Stage 2 respectively.)

Still no actual help in this thread since the game doesn't have a tracker for it :D

Also, I'm thinking one area of the Mysterious Cave level gets locked off after completing all the levels once. The path to fight the original ice version of the boss gets sealed off by one of those magic doors and the only path you can use is the bottom path which leads to the lava version of the boss. Haven't found any way to go back to the earlier versions of the levels or turn off those magic doors yet

You can't collect panties at all until after the ice version of the boss is dead and fire boss replaces it, so either there are none there, or there is an alternate path that takes you there.

I ran into this as well. I thought I had to speed run that section before the door comes down but it didn't work and it is the only White door that closes rather than opens. I think the devs intended it but I am not sure why.

I did remember that, but felt like there had to be something I missed there, especially since if you watch the trailer for the game, it shows them opening up a secret passageway inside the sunken ship which I definitely did not get during my original playthrough, so I've been wondering what's actually down there or how to access it after the fact. I've combed that level for hours trying to find a way to get in there but can't.

Also: in response to the OP here, I think the alternate ending is just tied to rescuing everyone, not to pantsu collection.

Alright, I've manage to find Shinobu's at stage 7, but I can't seem to find Maya's.
The stage 7 ghost room for me is empty, and I've scoured stage 6 once more, but nothing.
Maybe I'll give every stage another look, and see if its a random spawn?

Btw, there are 32 peeps in the gym.
So there's likely 40 panties in all.

This is correct. I have 31 in the gym and I figured there's probably just one of them I was missing, and the math would work out that there's 40 pantsu. Wish the game would even give you a tracker of how many of those you have, it's so frustrating

Great.... I finally found the last one for me, and its the first stage. At that first path you can take only as Maya cuz she can crawl.... haha...

So, i got this achievement and it wasn't that bad of a detour.
What i recommend is simply starting from the first stage (i know, thats obvious) and just work your way up, but it's important to keep track of which path you take so you can take another one in the next attempt, you can also use all the movement you have to check multiple paths in a single go, i think its just the best way to approach this because if you rush the stages barely looking for them you'll end up having to check every single stage again... for me that happened for the last undie which was in the starting screen of the garden to the left. Good luck.

I think the drops for it is random since I found both Shinobu and Maya on stage 1, both in the part where you need to crawl with Maya first.
