EN voices gameplay only....why?

Maybe I missed something in the initial dub announcement...but I didn't realize (at least until I tried to change it in the Options menu) cutscenes would not be spoken....

Why only voice gameplay and not cutscenes? Just.....why? Artistic choice maybe?

As a GG fan myself I was looking forward to hearing the game voiced in English myself. It is an interesting prospect, as weird as that sounds given the nature of the GG series.

Kinda disappointed in this regard, NGL....especially coming off of Luminous Avenger iX 2 and Gunvolt 3....

Just play in japanese as it's intended to be, this game is set in Japan with japanese people.

Why would not being able to see the mouth matter in this scenario? This is about voices, not graphics.

There are people who want to experience the game in it's original language. Majority of my games are in English. It's a breath of fresh air to experience a new language and specially if it has proper subtitles.

Some people prefer the original performances. In this particular instance, Japanese appears to be superior due to the fact all cutscenes are voiced, so there's that. I personally prefer Japanese voices because Engrish is always cool when it happens.

Ah, the old purist argument. How about no? I prefer my native tongue where it's available.

But anyway. They dubbed Gunvolt 3 and iX 2, that's why I brought those up. It just doesn't make sense to me, especially (and since it's a demo take this with a grain of salt) since there's not a ton of dialogue.

Probably would've ballooned up the price by a bit and maybe those 2 games mentioned did not experience a sales increase to justify keeping at it with the full dub. Can't blame them since both of them sucked, especially GV3 with eng Kirin somehow managing to be higher pitched in the dub and extremely annoying with the battle voices (at least that's not the case here).

Not likely, it's pretty clear the demo is just the first two stages as they are in game. They haven't said (that I've seen), but I wouldn't be surprised if you could use your save files for the full game.
