So, in other words, Younger galaxies has more planets with the most Food and older galaxies has more planets with the most Factory/Science. Right?
I think its more accurate to say that older galaxies have lower tier / more specialized planets (and asteroids) than younger galaxies. Tier 1 planets are still spectacular production all around - and are more common in younger galaxies.
Given a choice between a methane giant vs a jungle planet, I'd pick the jungle planet, 9 times out of 10.
