4X games are a niche, so you won't see as much activity on the Steam forums.
This game completely lacks any sort of enjoyment whenever you play past the first two hours. It sure is endless, alright - endless rinse and repeat of massing ships and endlessly clicking auto-resolve combat. Oh joy.
Besides i see some still not fixed stability issues in the multiplayer, the game is fully directed to play multiplayer. All time-consuming point-and-click things could be auto-resolved as the combat, so one could concentrate on expanding. If you better like games with a huge combat sector, most of them are still only single-player, it would be a idea to watch out for...StarDrive, Sins of a Solar Empire, Distant Worlds. Those games have a complete other setting therefore. I love ES for it's easy playable multiplayer, as this is the main concept of it.
That said, I still find the game incredibly fun, and I guarantee that along with new content, there have been regular bug-fixes -- maybe not as fast as you'd like it, but we're not dealing with a triple-A company.
We are working on the expansion pack. For your information, we have released four free add-ons, after the official launch of Endless Space; we are still working on the game and did not abandon it! :)
Edit: we abandoned Endless Space so we could focus on a brand new pony simulator experience. More info coming soon so stay tuned.
I think Steph had to many Beer Achievements.....
Steph'nie was making a joke. Lost in translation I guess. They did not abandon the game, they are working on an expansion.
Forgive my terrible sense of humour, but yeah, see my previous post above, I was obviously kidding. :) We have been mentioning several times (there is even a sticky thread) that we are working on the expansion pack. We'll hopefully give you more details asap (date, price, content and so on).
We did publish a few game design documents to discussed though: several sticky threads at the top of these forums[forums.amplitude-studios.com].
Edit: unicorns.
