But seriously....if its worth the money or not depends on your playing habits, your personality and of course your taste. We cant even begin to make an educated guess without knowing anything about you at all.
Your best bet is to check youtube and watch a Gameplay video. Check if you like what you see.

Most of these threads are one-liners giving no information about the askers preferences, past games and so on. I doubt a simple "yes" or "no" is much help to them.
It appears from your review you were expecting something dramatically different that you judge this game this hard after 1 hour of gameplay. Sadly your review isnt anything that provides solid information or presents your point of view in any way.
I personally play EVE online and I didnt find any similarities in music for example.
And also personally I think Endless Space is far ahead of many many older 4x titles simply because it was able to captivate my interest and immerse me into its universe...thats something many older titles never managed. Of course it has its flaws and weak points but thats nothing you could ve seen with that kind of hours played.
So....if you like ES or not is of course your own decision and your right. Just the way you try to transport your opinion (in this thread and in the review section) simply stinks and doesnt help you convince people.....why did you post in the first place?
Say the word if you decide to get it. I can give you a quick run around it.
Now I'd like to say it's not worth anymore, from buying a game + others for 5/6€ to 30 for only one. But I'm used to buy game cheaper also, and stay less on them, then I will just make a small review about it :
The game is great, it has a lot of similarities with others 4X like its " FIDS " ( Food / Industry / Dust ( = Gold ) / Science ) production which has equivalents in Civ for example, but its still very different, with the tech tree, but especially the map, you ain't on land and take territory as you want, you are in space and go from solar system to another, colonizing planets. I also like the different perks of species playable in the game and the ship building system.
If you already played some 4X, you will then find some similarities but a lot of new and original stuff, I recommend it if you like this kind of game, the 4X.
Now, I have to point out the big cons of the game : The Multiplayer, the game is nice and it would be amazing in multiplayer, but there is a damn bug unfixed since ages which after a consequent number of turn ( ~50 ), you got a neverending end of turn, you have to save, reload and reinvite everyone, knowing it will happen again but sooner, and this is even more frustrating when you are one of the people who must check the cache of the game everytime it happens in order to be able to join a multiplayer lobby again.
The game is quite good, I'm just dissappointed in this multiplayer, forcing us to play mostly in solo. :/
