Particle Accelerator and Running Tally?
Has anyone got any suggestions for these two challenges?

Particle Accelerator isn't too challenging. If you're looking for any challenges that require a huge clump of enemies, I always recommend the mission 'Freedom Crossing'.

Running Tally can be very difficult. I know some other players are having issues with this one as well.
I achieved this on the 'Heard On The News' mission. I'll see if I can make a video about it or something. But if Mercurial has their ultimate upgraded, and you use Mindfire to give them an initiative boost, they can typically get at least 4 turns in a single round. Theoretically you should be knock out or kill 2-3 enemies in a turn. But there seems to be issues with which kills count, such as when you knock enemies into each other. I'm also not sure if knocking enemies into Mercurial and having her finish them with her reaction counts or not.

I actually kept having difficulty in doing Particle Accelerator on Freedom Crossing, because I could never get the crowd into narrow enough of a line for the ultimate.

If you can't get it there, try "Supply Drop" (I think that's the one where you're on the small rooftop). Beat the 4 guys at the edge, bait the other guys into a pile, and wait until the reinforcements show up (not the second phase with Enhanced, I mean from the elevator). You should be able to work it into where they're lined up for the ultimate.

As for Running Tally, Baphled is correct about using Mindfire and Mercurial's ult into shoving robots off edges as the best way. If "Heard It On The News" doesn't work, try the mission where you protect Hyde at the computer core (can't remember the name). The robots spawn closer together and can be shoved off.

Challenges are easy if you just realize the simple trick:

Any mission that requires you to do something with a lot of enemies, just use Alpha's clones.

Go to any mission with Alpha, bring Ignis and Hyde.
Use Ignis to set Alpha on fire (which all of his clones will be as well) and Hyde can cover them with his Nano net (whatever it's called)

This means that every time a clone starts its turn, it will create another one and every time a clone attacks, it will create another one.

You will very quickly have a lot of clones that all will blow up with regular damage.
