Character keeps spinning
Camera is forced upwards, and it spins around, can't stop it. Dying, creating a new charactrer, new world, reinstalling the game didn't fix anything.

It’s probably your mouse if you are using an external mouse with a wired USB connector. That is a common problem with a wired mouse they fray inside the rubber insulation right at the point where it enters the housing on the mouse but you can’t see any damage to the wire. It’s also why I only use a wireless mouse. You can test it by leaving the mouse rest on the pad and slowly moving the wire around either close to the body of the mouse or near the USB plug. The looking up and spinning is caused by the mouse lazer underneath going into a tizzy because of a shorting signal.

this is interesting, but I use a wireless mouse too (also, this spinning bug did not occur in any other game I played recently)

I have rarely had the problem with a wireless mouse but it is very common with wired mouse that has been driven about for some time because it flexes the wire connections. It can occur with a wireless mouse though. My advice at this point would be to put brand new batteries in the mouse and clean the underside to be sure the lazer lens isn’t collecting lint. It’s one of those things that happen so it’s natural to assume it’s something other than mechanical when it first happens but trust me it’s definitely mechanical and if you have or can try another wireless mouse or just the touch mouse on the laptop itself you will see that it has nothing to do with the game.

Have you tried another usb port if you have one, just to rule out that the port may have become faulty.
