Lithium batteries worth it?

The contract guy occasionally offers a couple of lithium batteries for 15 silver coins. I've never taken it up because I had really bad experiences with them back in the days when you could craft them - they were expensive, but turned into ordinary batteries as soon as you used them.

Are they worth getting now? Do they make the headlamp or night vision last a lot longer, for instance?

Any thoughts welcome.

I'm going to answer my own question. I splashed out 15 silver coins and completed the contract - which only got me a single lithium battery, despite the contract being called "Lithium batteries".

Are they worth it? Hell yes! They last about twice as long, or maybe even longer in the headset, and while I haven't yet tried them in the night vision goggles, I'm guessing they'll do the same there.

The only problem is that you'll really need to complete the contract three times (45 silver coins) because you'll need three of them - one each for the NVG and Headlamp, and one to keep on the charger.

Definitely a mandatory addition for taking on higher level POIs where the fighting extends into the night, though.

Lithium is the way to go. Ditch the headlamp and use the night vision. it's best for all.

and one for the hand held zoomie. the welding tool is fine with a regular battery!
