What I do is place a ladder in the opening to get to the next level. I then place metal post so that I can place another ladder hole and then place the ladder to get up to the new level. Once the ladder is placed, I delete the ladder hole and the metal posts leaving the ladder sticking up by itself. Then when I want to go down the ladder, I walk into the ladder and I'm able to go down the ladder easily. Not pleasing to look at, but I rather have this way then trying for 30 secs trying to find the sweet spot to climb down the ladder. Hell, it is easier to just jump off my base into the water and then use my ladder to get to ground level.
I hope I've explained myself well and hope this and many other issues get fixed soon.
Was hoping a Dev would see my post as a reminder to fix this. ;-)
