IF Hosting, you cannot remain ingame as host for very long before it crashes. If you have mates signed in, the game seems stable enough with some random crashes, usually for the clients, sometimes the host. Some of the crashes can bluescreen the computer. Or force it into a hard freeze, often on restarting, if you have dual or more monitors the game restarts on the 2nd screen. Has to be physically moved back to the 1st.
The boat flipping. After driving, move to passenger seat. Then exit.
If you enter boat on passenger seat, if possible move to driver, then back, then exit.
On the speedboat, move to a different passenger seat then exit.
On Helicopter, dismounting in drivers seat will instantly kill you. Move to passenger seat then exit.
Ai hits with pin point accuracy, later in the game this can lead to many rapid deaths with loss of items. The ai should aim for body, not head.
Should be able to kill entire islands off and claim them, like before.
Npc Respawn on top of the player.. should respawn on island away from player.
I have to admit when we first started playing, for me this was the 2nd time i started after the update, the game was too frustrating to play. However, after playing coop with a mate, I found it to be bearable. I've played another 40-50 hours. I will be changing my review to reflect this.
Now mine:
Why is there no upgrade to gloves or boots? We have leather, cloth, metal scrap, steel
Why when I cook a scallop and have empty slots on toolbelt, that when finished the scallop goes in one of those toolbelt slots. Move the cooked scallop into inventory and cook another one and the expect behavior would be that it will stack in your inventory but does not, it goes back on the toolbelt. This behavior is specific to food only.
Why do you have the wood burning timers set very differently with forge and simple grill? With simple grill, cooking something uses 1.2 wood per item. When cooking another item, it burns through that .8 wood first before using another full log. With the forge, with the increased time to get a ingot, you burn through 1 log approx 10 secs, a second one approx 10-15 secs and when its finished uses another log. And the cycle repeats. I appreciate you making the forge produce quicker, its taking an insane amount of wood for that increase though so not sure of its benefit.
This is just my opinion only - when you begin your journey, you strive to progress through tools and weapons. Wood spear > metal spear > iron spear. Starter axe > upgraded axe > two handed axe > iron or steel axe. I don't remember all the names but you get the picture. When you unlock and make an anvil and I suggest you put it high on the priority list, there is only one item that you need to make.....the machete. It is rather OP as it takes the place of 2 tool/weapon(axe and spear). Also, why does my machete not take damage using it?
Lastly - please please allow us to drag stacks in the trader window. Selling excess charcoal means I have to click a few hundred times if Im selling a couple of stacks as well as buying stacks of scrap or wood means Im clicking like crazy. You're lucky you can't see my mouse giving you stink eye every time I roll into the trader :) Just saying :)
Must admit the ability at the moment not being able to drag stacks when trading is something i hope they fix, amount of times i click stacks in then find out i am not getting a good deal, then having to click them back to inventory can be tedious.
would say increasing that to 30 min. (4 min. longer daytime and 1 min. longer nighttime)
would already make a big difference.
- Some kind of alarm clock (research table) we can set to wake up at a certain time, if we
sleep only a couple hours we regenerate less stamina and health..
- They are working on the map, thats why it's not possible for now to claim an island,
there's even a message in the game saying that.
- I do not agree with ore detector should show direction, it works like it should work and
it's easy to use, they already made the fixed blueprints so easy to find in this new version,
they literally show you where to find it, same with the safe bubbles, you can see the
bubbles coming through every building, while exploration is the biggest and most popular
part of the gameplay, i really hope they make this a menu setting.
- You can easily kill sharks with the crossbow or guns :) hammerheads are mostly deeper
in the water, so just swim above em on water surface level and a couple shots with the old
bolt riffle is enough, if they swim near surface level (the mansion) than keep some
distance and again crossbow or any gun.
- More crazy underwater poi's, now with the bigger tanks maybe an underwater cave
system and bigger island with more enemies yes.
- The machete and combat knife are ridiculous OP yes, that axe, spear and sword in
the anvil menu should be the OP melee weapons instead hehe, also agree with
dragging stacks like 100 charcoal for example with the trader.
