Is it worth it?
Not wanting to be THAT guy, but Is the game worth buying, compared with Raft? It's still on EA, so I'm in doubt how far is it and how buggy it is. Anyone that can aswer it I'm already grateful.

I just got it today cause im a huge fan of Raft and its basically that. You could consider it a sequel to the game. Better graphics, more to build, actual enemies instead of just a single shark and a few bears. Ive literally only put an hour into so far and yes, this is upgraded Raft in my opinion.

If you like Raft, you'll like this.

I did not like Raft very very boring to start to me, all float and snag ... have shark tear up my boat LOL but I am happy for you all that spent the money and enjoy it!! Sunkenworld on the other hand as got my attention - looking forward to exploring this game further

I am waiting till they actually deliver a couple of content updates rather than talking about them. It looks like it has a lot of potential but I generally wait for Early Access games to have a couple of steady updates before jumping in these days.

I don't agree that it's the same as Raft, as the guy above said. For me, it's much closer to Rust, and they even used the same assets as Rust at the start of development. My friend and I are having a lot of fun, but we've reached a certain level where it's not so challenging anymore. The idea is to wait for updates and bug fixes. The game is "playable" in this version, but there are still details to be corrected and graphics to be improved. Don't wait for graphics and challenges, wait in this version for a certain amount of fun and curiosity, and also for patience on your part in understanding that this game is still being built.

good just needs more content but that will come with time

it has that weird early access random survival crafting unity game feel to it but honestly it's fun and we've been having a good time, a few bugs here and there but nothing we couldn't figure out workarounds for

absolutely worth it for $15 right now

Last night I was cruising around in my sailing "ship", with a flintlock pistol and sword exploring uncharted islands and ocean. I was and am having a good time with this weird Waterworld/Pirate sim game.

everyone here saying its not like rust is crazy....the game is literally raft and rust mixed together
Snugglemuffin Dec 29, 2023 @ 12:38am
I haven't played Rust but for me it's like a mix of Raft and The Forest/Sons of Forest.

Few bugs here and there, aiming a bow is pain in the 🍑 and could use more variety with constructing. But the game is in alpha and considering that it's already showing a lot of potential.

Digging it so far. Always down to support an EA title if the devs put in the work and show it love!

I was in the same boat as you. I have put 20-30 hours into so far and its a lot of fun. I can see the content horizon coming though but I have faith that they will keep updating the game

If you like survival games yeah its worth it, I'd put it as a subnautica meets early 7 days to die. Decent game play loop, and a good but not insurmountable challenge.
