Enemy respawn is already in the game, i believe it is linked to the loot respawn setting has i set it to 10 days and after 10 days the enemies have reoccupied the islands. If you place flags on those islands once completed then the enemies will not respawn unless you remove the flags again.
My gauge for value is simple. If I can get 1 hour of enjoyment for every dollar a game costs me than to me it was worth it. I am retired and on a fixed income.
This game has far exceeded my gauge.
Note: The flags should have a life span 4 to 6 days before they fall so npc can re-span on that island.
Note: would also like to see stormy weather to make boats difficult to operate.
Note: Would like to see seals steeling fish from fish nets, giant octopus, monkeys on tropical islands also wild pigs and rattle snakes.
So far i like the game!!!
2) Early Access games commonly cost $20-30; if you find one that's good for less then that, its either a scam (a game that will likely go unfinished) or a lucky opportunity as in the case of Below Zero or 7DTD.
3) Before early access was a thing, games would commonly cost upwards of $50-$80 and you got whatever bugs the developers forgot before burning the game to a disk. As someone who has played games since buying my NES and Sega, I find these arguments about EA games costing too much to be absolutely hilarious.
4) If you don't like a game you've purchased, play it for less then 2 hours and then return it. If you played longer then 2 hours, then you own the game now and apparently enjoyed it enough to play for 2+ hours. This game doesn't have any huge tutorials at the beginning, or anything else that refrains you from testing the game and returning it within that window if you truly wanted too.
5) Subnautica Below Zero was a sequel to an already popular game called Subnautica. The developers made a substantial amount of money and popularity from the first game which allowed them to release the EA sequel for an astonishing $8. The clout they received from the first game meant they could sell more copies of the second game for a cheaper price and still turn a profit. I also suspect they reused some assets from the first game, which made production faster and cheaper.
6) When you're a small team developing a new title, it can take a lot of time, money and patience. The money acquired from the immediate sales of an EA game are fundamental to the future development and growth of a game. Before Early Access a lot of games were thrown out due to potential funding concerns before development ever began. This means EA games and the money we provide these small developers, it directly contributes to the vast diversity of games that now fill steam.
By saying all this, I'm not creating excuses for developers that intentionally scam the community under the guise or cloak of Early Access, as those people are devils all their own with the only intention of thieving from gamers.
Sunkenland is not one of these titles though as so far it provides exactly what's advertised on the store page, or what's been shown by gameplay videos or seen in photos.
The only thing I could say that's problematic within Sunkenland, is if you choose to play with too many people; the more people that are playing, the progression will obviously happen at a faster pace which means finishing the game alot quicker. Although this may seem like common sense, in Sunkenland it can increase progression immensely. This is because progression is only slowed by how fast you can recover items, craft or kill enemies, which all quickens with more players.

Your entire comparison to other games is ridiculous.
Sunkenland has been in EA for TWO MONTHS. The most recent game on your list is over TWO YEARS old. Your fist example of 7D2D is TEN YEARS old. I would expect them to have more content and story.
Also your prices are completely wrong and misleading. Cherry picking sales prices for games that are years old to a game that has not yet been around for a single major Steam sale is just disingenuous.
Actual costs:
7D2d (10 years old, still in EA): $25
The Forest (5 years old): $20
Empyrion (3 years old): $20
Green Hell (4 years old, still in EA): $25
Mist Survival (5 years old, still in EA): $11
Valheim (2 years old, still in EA): $20
Well said!
I really don't know why people who say the game is not worth it go to extraordinary lengths to justify themselves lol. Seems to me that they have some kind of intent to discredit the game, when instead, all they really have to do is not post anything and just not buy the game. It's quite simple really.
I wonder if they do this to every game on Steam that they think "IS NOT WORTH IT"
I have the right to express myself freely. And I have the right to tell the developers my opinion about the game. That's what these forums are for.
And in my opinion, such an expensive early access game is not worth it.
True, you're free to express yourself, but if you choose to share your opinion in any forum or public space, you open yourself to the opinion of other people.
The issue you're not understanding most, is that simply saying "This game is not worth it", is neither constructive or informative enough in any manner to be considered a suggestion, or even faintly an opinion.
For example; why do you feel its too expensive, what bothers you the most about the game that makes you believe the price is not fair? How would you prefer it to be different to be worth the $20?
At the end of the story, unless you choose to provide more information in regards to explaining your opinion, then your "opinion" is just a meritless complaint not to be taken serious. That is exactly what bikes02 meant.
And, if you're only complaint is the price, and you really don't think the game is worth buying in its current state or in the foreseeable future, then just return the game and buy something cheaper; write a review if it pleases you.
The price should match the amount of content in the game, they should have sold it for like 10 bucks and raised the price when they felt comfortable that it was worth the 20. I don't have to justify anything, most of the games I listed I have thousands of hours on or at least several hundred. This one got boring after 50, and now we are waiting on updates that surprise, surprise, aren't coming as promised and when we do get one it has two items and a few bug fixes.
Like I said, I like the game, there's just not enough of it there but it is in EA. I'm not recommending this to friends though until they start pushing out some of the content shown in the screenshots and the trailer. And if that doesn't start happening soonish, I'll write my review warning against a purchase.
Not really a big deal because like I said, I had my fun with it and don't necessarily feel "ripped off" but I'm going to keep it real by saying it's overpriced which it is.
