How do you farm for more woods?
after the update on the wood no longer respawn again and again after you open your game, it seems like my stock for woods has depleted by lots. Tell me how do you guys farm for more woods if you already 100% looted area surrounding your island.

do i need to keep replanting the bush for more woods? i wish we can replant the tree instead.

You've been respawning wood by exiting and re-entering the game? That can't have been intentional. Either way, "natural" resources, like wood and iron ore, -do- respawn on a timer. you'll just be waiting several game days before it happens. If I were to give a rough time frame, you'll see the beginnings of respawns in the time between the end of a raid and the beginning of the next if you have raid frequency set at low.
Barring that, it sounds like you'll have to go further out into the world to find new trees. And if that doesn't sound good, make more planters. One of the basic ideas of this game is becoming self-sufficient, as your mission note says. That means being able to grow all your own stuff. Just so happens you can't do it through a glitch in the game system anymore ;)

You can grow trees in the planter.

It's indirect, but I think the most efficient way to sustainably farm wood is to farm cotton, make cloth and trade cloth for wood at the trader.

The reason why I think this is because farming cotton is sustainable and farming wood isn't. You can plant bushes in a planter, but when you harvest the wood you'll get back fewer seeds for replanting than you started with. The reverse is true for cotton. It's also easier to harvest cotton as you can do it by hand rather than having to chop it down. Since you always get cotton seeds back, you can harvest and replant just by pressing 'F' twice. Place a bunch of planters in a suitable pattern and you can move along it gathering large amounts of cotton and planting the next crop on the way. Out of cotton, cloth and bandages, cloth is the most profitable trading item.
