crop plots need some serious rebalancing/fixes

put in strawberry seeds x1, recieve x2 strawberry's. Eat one, yummy, eat another you then get one seed back, replant seed, rinse and repeat. Its pointless and just doesnt gain you anything.
Also, if you plant the bush seeds and a bush grows , if your not careful when swinging your axe to harvest the planks it will damage the crop plot. Enough damage and you lose it and half the resources it took to make it. which as we know anything needing cloth is super expensive. so make sure you have a repair hammer to check each time you harvest a bush in the crop plot.
Also this stuff must be using that old mircle grow formula cause this stuff literally grows as you watch it. Im certain that will get corrected/nerfed.

Not sure what you mean by strawberries being pointless. If you grow enough of them, they are a decent food/thirst resource.

Make a hammer if you sceard of destroying the crop and i like the planting so far and its just a early release it will be balansed later on :). They grow fast and 2 barryes is nice

i know they are good for thirst. however if you think about what i said and can do math, you dont gain anything, especially trying to supplement 3 players.
if you have two strawberry's. you have to eat one till you get a seed from it... this usually requires eating 2 before you get a seed. Great now you have a seed, you go plant it, you get 2 strawberry's back when theyve grown..... Now you need to eat one till you get a seed again.... it doesnt gain anything....
If they leave it to where you have to eat 2 to get one seed, then the crop plot should produce say 4 strawberry's or go back to where you get a seed with each consumption of a single strawberry. Otherwise, if your playing co op your better off just foraging from the ground after they respawn cause its just a waste of time in the crop plot when you could be better producing other items.

Go out and pick strawberries as they respawn. Loot strawberry seeds. As a single player I've gone from 1 stack of strawberries to 2 stacks with just 2 planters. I'm gaining.

That’s the key word, you as a single player. Try doing crops with 3 players as I said. 3 ppl consume much more resources.
I’m not asking for a 55000% boost. Just asking to give us maybe 3 or 4 quantity when harvesting if they keep it at one seed per 2 fruits.

I've thought similar with broken weapon spawns and ammo resources. It has to be difficult to get a group supplied and keep them in ammo.

But as far as gardening goes if 2 plots gives me more than I need 6 plots would do the exact same with 3 people. It's just a matter of getting the strawberries to get it going.

I think he means the seeds are on a 1/2 chance of getting back instead of a 1/1 like potatoes

switch to potatoes , they are a 1/1 , sure they don't do crap for water but atleast ya'lls food is taken care of , it take 3 potatoes to fill hunger from near 0 to full, so if you plant 2 per person at the current growth rate you're going to be swimming in taters real dam quick , O make sure to cook them lol

currently we do farm a lot of potatoes, but would like to farm strawberries but again, they need to provide more when harvested or give 1:1 on seeds...

Needs to be fixed so you don't have to chop down the bushes you plant but harvest them like the rest of the stuff you plant or allow planting of bush on normal ground. So this stops the breaking the planter boxes.

That's why I'm here right now, because I wanted to see if anyone else had this "problem". Yesterday I was chopping wood, but unfortunately the pot broke so I had to build a new one. That's annoying. I avoid planting bushes now... It would really be better if you could just collect the branches without chopping.

Use a machete, they swing side to side. If you put your planters in the middle of the room you shouldn't have a problem unintentionally destroying stuff. But keep a repair hammer along with the machete in your garden box just in case.

Thanks, until yesterday I didn't even know you could use a hammer to repair things, especially planters. The tutorial will definitely be added to the game at some point...
