Has anyone gotten the recycler to work???

I've tried and not able to recycle anything.
Just wondering what I am missing. (Yes- it Has power.)

Have you placed anything in the slot, if you look at the two slots the items go in top one, also some things cannot be recycled.

As far as I am aware only some items can be recycled currently. It seems mostly limited to items we make. Although I have had success with machete for example but no other found weapons.

Yes it shows they can not be recycled ... I've tried the simple grill, the first water maker, first spear, wooden crates that we made and a couple other things .. even tried charcoal just to check. No Luck on anything.
AND YES .. I tried to put them into the slots (both)

Try the component item, that should give you glass and a iron ingot.

All my recycler does is say connect or disconnect. I can't even open it to attempt to add something to recycle. Help?

The Recycler must be connected to your (running) generator to work.

* Have (at least 1) Rubber on-hand
* Hover over Recycler, then press 'C'
* Click over Recycler
* Click over an open "outlet" on the Generator (there are a total of 4/generator)
Note: The wire will turn green when hovering over an open "outlet", click then.
The Recycler should now be wired.

* Fuel (with Gasoline), then Turn on your generator
* Hover over Recycler, and press 'F' to decompose an item
* Place the item in the top-most Recycler inventory slot
* Press the "Recycle" icon (under the Recycler "slot")
* Collect your carbon-offset credits :P

To recycle structures such as grill, right click them with the repair hammer (when they are built), it will partially return the resources. I have managed to recycle items such as machete and ammo, it won't recycle some other items.

Yes it's crap... Can only recycle certain things...
