It isn't easy but you can get used to it. It is similar to Rust's minis and there are experts doing tricks with them in that game. I don't think the light heli is 1:1 Rust's mini but it's close enough learning to fly shouldn't be impossible and with the rules we have (we don't blow up with the slightest hit or hard landing) we should be able to learn it.
If you have a major problem Alt-F4 to exit without saving and hopefully you go back to a recoverable point. I just did that after my heli flipped upside down and went somewhere. It saved me over the water which we both plopped into, but it floated so wasn't that bad of an outcome.
Start slow, little taps on W and S, and dont do agressive mouse movements.
However, I feel like that should be in the game options a different mouse sensibility for when driving heli.
It just takes practice. If a 60yo with neuropathy in my arms from a fused neck can do it you can too.
I no longer am tapping W most of the time.
My dude, you do know you need to use the mouse to actually control the pitch and roll on the helicopter right?
Is this the first game on the computer that you have flown a helicopter?
Every game I've flown a helicopter, it has been the same. This one is no exception.
I've come to the conclusion that you are trolling, because that's the only thing that makes sense here.
It probably is like most others that have it. i have not played any others that have it. It's my first time encountering this control system and it's beyond woeful. Awful is a monstrous understatement and I would call you a troll since obviously having a differing opinion is apparently all that is required.
If you want that abomination of a control system then more power to you but I didn't buy a flight sim and I don't want it.
Hi ya, those controls sound a like the Battlefield Vietnam helicopters, this should be no issues for me, but yes the initial training flights are interesting, there maybe a couple deaths involved, now to find the dang blueprint :) happy gaming to all.
I don't understand why people don't like it. I wouldn't expect a heli with 8 movements to be coverd with 4 keys (WASD). Once you learn it it's second nature.
Now that I know where it can spawn I like to get it early. I don't trust the stability of the program enough to put it anywhere on a hot drop but I'd rather use it than anything else. Just give me some pontoons to land over underwater POIs and it's all I'd use.
