I don't JUST Play Games ... I have a Life Also.
hm u not play games and this is in your profile (76 Year Old Gamer .. Been playing forever it seems.
Have over 7000 hrs in 7D2D .. Vanilla and Modded.
3000+ in Skyrim and a Gaming library of over 300+ games, Not all
You do however need an awful lot of ingots overall to get everything and I think it's probably a lot better if you have a few players all sharing the gear it's used to make. Solo it's a little much.
The biggest thing is possibly the time taken to refine the ores and that's gotten around by building multiple smelters. I have 5 to make bars and that knocks them out really quick.
I thought I read that the ingot smelting might be bugged just now but I haven't tried it since the last update. My new game is about to get to that point.
Iron and copper nodes have always respawned but it's not fast. Might be as long as a week in game but it does happen. I would often come back with 30+ iron from one island although I couldn't name which ones offhand. The little mutant island right near the start island is a really good source early game and easy to clear.
If you avoid several of the vehicles that require 10 ingots each it's better. The helicopter was unusable for me and I think some of the boats that need 10 ingots have no storage so are effectively useless as well for general play. Might be fine for sea combat later on but for now they are toys.
Grindy yes, it's a survival game, that's what they are.
Seems like they did increase the ore nodes if you start a new game.
I have 5 of them and it makes it pretty quick.
same, i got 4, maybe more would make it really faster, but its already good, 1 is painful for sure
Side note.. I think it fine. you dont want the game play to be to fast, it not like we are playing pvp (most of us are not) so there no need to hit endgame in 1day like Rust lol
IKR? And I bet the ones complaining the most are those PVP players who think every game should be PVP and they want machine guns on day 1. It's exactly why I'm not thrilled with the idea of this even being optional PVP because they will be complaining until this is no longer a survival game, it'll become PubG with eating.
