Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara
And oh yeah, the Shank games, 1 and 2.
Today also available on PlayStationNetwork. But the graphics are oldschool (of course) ^^
There are ones in the realm of free to play games that are like this (Continent of the Ninth, Vindictus, Rusty Hearts, etc...), but decidedly longer, and more involved. The downside is the publishers can be less than stellar. Take Rusty Hearts, a good game that's being ignored and handled very badly by their North American publisher, causing people to feel it's best to play the Japanese version. I like Continent of the Ninth (don't download the Steam client, get it from the publisher/developer Webzen), but if you get into these, I'd suggest you stay away from PvP. They all work off of a peer to peer connection, and you can end up playing with someone who knows how far away, resulting is potentially painful lag/latency. It's best to play these with those in your general geographical area, or solo.
For stuff like it on PC, there's not a lot outside of F2P games, and those that have already been mentioned which tend to be more simplified. On the PS3 and PS VIta you might want to look at Dragon's Crown, and Ragnarok Odyssey. If you're willing to drop one or more of those four component genres the number of games balloons significantly, but if you want all four there isn't a lot of them.
I created a new group for all beat 'em up fans : feel free to join it if you are looking for more games of this genre on Steam : http://steamcommunity.com/groups/beatemupfans
