Warudo

Full working model VRM 0, if saved and used as VRM 1 no longer has face mocap in Warudo
I've been hesitant to ask because i'm using three programs in tandem here, but hopefully it's a common problem:

Model is made is Vroid, save it as VRM 0
Open and send XR Animator, VMC details to Warudo
Warudo picks up all the movement

But...

Same Model is saved in Vroid, as VRM 1.0
Open and send XR Animator, VMC details to Warudo
Warudo does NOT pick up ANY movement

Now the facial features to not move, like the face is paralysed. Up until now it didn't matter, just save my models as VRM 0 and we're good to go, but I really like Vroid's Xdressup feature and the models using it can only be saved as VRM 1.0.

I tried to websearch the problem every now and again and the only thing i can find is a reddit thread that mentions a VRM model 0 might list leftEyeSocket and a VRM model 1.0 needs that same area to be named LeftEyeSocket with the changed capitalisation? somewhere in one of the programs. Might not even be a related issue.

Can you try setting up the motion capture again using Onboarding Assistant or Character -> Setup Motion Capture?

VRM 0.x and VRM1 use different blendshape names which might be what's happening here.

I did as instructed with the VRM 1.0 save of the model (using the Xdress demo outfit to be sure it's the 1.0 version) and clicked Setup Motion Capture. It continues to track my hands just fine like usual, but nothing on the face moves except when blinking it moves the eyes iris downwards ever so slightly but the eyelids never come down, and looking in a direction doesn't work either.

If i then immediately load back up the VRM 0 model, she can blink and move her mouth and everything right away like it's all working normally, no need to ever click Setup Motion Capture again.

It could be a problem with XR Animator, it even has a Warudo mode though in the VNC options so hopefully they've done their best

seems like it could be a problem with XR Animator, with VRM 0 models the "Warudo Mode" on their VNC options works great.

With a VRM 1.0 model for some reason you have to set it to VNyan(+Z) something i've never heard of in order to fix it as shown here in case anyone else ends up in the same situation. https://imgur.com/5p88rDS

Well hopefully there isn't a problem that i'll only see after using it like this for a while haha. :steamhappy:
