Why are there so many bots?

I think I saw that over 20,000 players have joined the Speed Freeks beta. So why are games so full of bots? I wish I could play a lobby that's entirely players.

The bots don't have pings. Also the name is a big hint, ork names like Blacktoof is a bot but VagSlayer420 is prolly not :P

Check the ping, if ping is 0, its a bot.

Yeah, got to admit. it is depressing when its just you and someone else against bots. It sucks way harder though when it's you and a team of bots against team of 2 bots and the rest all humans. I had to quit the game, head back. Get into same game game, quit try deff really, no one playing it. It feels like there is one good game you join half way through and the the rest are just going to suck. Back before there were separate servers, you just had to lower graphics settings and it was fine.

I feel the same way. It feels impossible, like no way would they program one team to be more of a Grot than the other, but from what i've seen in my hours of game play most real players can drive right up the the blue stompa with little resistance where as the red bots swarm or defend against bomb carriers.

Yeah for sure ,I've been passively watching sometimes & the blue bots just drive around and straight into enemy no shooting or nothing & just well get krumped . Its like easy points for red side . Red bots attack & even hunt more . Had heaps of issues where blue bots just get in the way & block getting kills on real gamers while under fire from real players & red bots .

I thought it weird & just thought it a mention. Not sure how to balance as I mostly just go for real player krumps & target a bot if they are annoying ,in the way etc

(EDIT Also the end game stats sometimes shows a bot "Facekrumpa" for example showing a bot with most kills ,but you never see them anywhere in the game you play(was in deff rally) or do anything, it can be misleading as not only did I get beat by a bot with top scores/kills but it was not even in the match or doing anything & I look all round & watch the top right for krumps & never seen that name once)

Remember that you always see your own team as the Blue Team and the enemy team as the Red Team - no-one is actually ever on the Red Team, you just see them that way, just as they see you as the Red Team.

If someone leaves at the end of a match, their score is often taken over by a bot for the podium, which is why it can be confusing to see a bot you don't recognise on the podium.

Yeh well thought that maybe how it works with the red & blue.

All though you maybe sorta right with player leaving , I noticed in 2 matches this afternoon that I topped scored & was only real player till others came in & still it showed the bots as having top scores ,which is not possible . Also the bot was awarded Speedboss. (not that I really give a stuff , but the numbers & logistics seem off )

I'm also seeing real players get top krumps even if they arrive late & I'm watching the matches pretty closely & doing pretty well with just krumping players & the odd bot , some things are just not adding up if you take the time to notice the battle .

Also that Facekrumpa example actually happened & I only seen a couple of real players near the end of match join ,so its not possible for them to get 29 kills & do it within the time span.

Sorry my bad ,never posted to forums before with screenshots . But if you see in this link Badfang gets Speedboss with only 8 kills ,while I had 9 ,the only thing the bot topped was most deaths,which is not very handy on teams sides

They have more scrap, which makes them the Speedboss.

You get a large amount of scrap for being the first on point in Deff Rally, so that might be where the bot is getting a large boost from.

Ok , I thought it went on kills & next update/patch was going to have scrap .

I was on looted wagon ,so was not first to any objective or finish the race , I've rarely seen a bot win a deff rally though ,normally a real gamer , depends on objectives .

Yep, my game is full bot too... just begin and get 30+ kill per game. Sometime i have 1 player ennemy. I prefer waiting 170 sec for playing without bot. Wait 3 sec for join game full bot isn't interesting.
