never played a Crew title from these guys
but WOW is this game super awesome. if they could find a way to implement an online aspect it might be one of the greatest isometric games of all time lol. crossout, twisted metal, wreckfest, etc etc. so far it has so many awesome features from all of those games + a more fun gameplay loop (except maybe a good group with homies in crossout heh)

the driving mechanics are pretty awesome, but maybe I would offer a suggestion to tighten up the compensation/reaction on doing 180s so we aren't swerving back and forth ridiculously to correct oversteer lol. might be a skill issue, but it does seem a little counterintuitive. hopefully it's a preemptive concern and it's a mechanic to be rectified with upgrades.

i've spent 2 hours stacking cardboard boxes on my truck in various configurations to put turrets on top of, which i will probably replace immediately after my next mission.

i think this might be my "no-life" for a while. thank god for steam sales. i bought the crew trilogy, i don't intend to play the other two, this is just the only way i could give the devs more money for the game.

honestly after so many hours using it the driving system is just fine, the swerving will mostly be from a skill issue yeah (not being mean at all because i think everyone who plays this game will be met with the same skill issue at first). Because instinct is to reactively steer when you should be preemptively steering. Because you aren't steering, you are telling the driver where to drive.

Also super early on you unlock the handbrake turn that solves all reversing and 180 turning problems. just click that button and you'll start turning around sharper than you normally can. (or at least backup fast when the bot cant figure out how to turn around lol). I would kind of be upset if they "fixed" the driving as it feels perfect for one of these titles.

At this point tho i manually steer at all times and have gotten very use to driving it and how to make it take turns like i want and its just feeling great.

okay cool then this confirms most of what i was speculating. i am glad handling wont be an issue forever. i am much better than i was but still not super great. :')

i'm totally fine with a skill issue conclusion lol. thanks for the clarification.
