Multiple tiers in garage.
Not sure if i'm too early in the campaign and not unlocked an easier way to do this but i was trying to set up a second tier with bridge pieces and a ladder stacked twice. but its interfering with walk-able areas underneath it for some reason even though its approx 12 units high.

you might be too close to the trailer/rig walking point, like if you have blocks right up against the trailer edge it will close off everything behind it

A two-story trailer is definitely possible to build. Here's mine:

The upper level is at a height of 9 units to avoid visual clipping of the rejuvenator's pole. 6 units is enough to be walked under, haven't tried less. I have an expanded design in mind but will likely have to wait for a better engine because I don't have too much headroom with the weight limit.

What did you use for the second tiers Floor? i could only use bridge pieces and they need to be between 2 reinforcement pillars (blocks)

Unless you used bridge pieces between the big wood blocks you have placed.

I had an issue trying to build a wall around my trailer and a roof to protect from rain. I worked out how to do it but it raises another question. . I'm pretty satisfied with it as its extremely tanky and rain doesn't affect either of my crew. However I'm not sure if blocks or special blocks in particular block fire zones? i was thinking of putting the APC hull and have shooters inside but would the bullets not pass through. i mean that would make sense but i haven't seen any issues with the blocks i am currently using 3x3x6 scrap metal block ( albeit this does have a frame work not a solid block). I have recently got a lucky blueprint for the car carrier which tbh is perfect for a second layer on a trailer or even a third with a powerful enough engine. but its heavier if you use that rather than build up a foundation and use bridges as the second tier floor.

The front support has two stacks of 3x3x6 + 3x3x3 blocks. Then there's cantilever shelves around them to expand the width to 10 units. The rear support has a 6x6x6 block stacked with a 6x6x3, again with cantilever shelves to the sides. The bridges are placed between these supports. A width of 10 is required to maintain a walkable area to both sides of the war drums, but on the other hand the front support can't be wider than 6 to retain walkable space between it and the turrets in the front corners. Behind the rear support are another two 3x3x6 blocks with ladders acting as an access platform.

As you can see it allows walk able sections everywhere. My plan is
when i get a drummer to centralise them on the lower floor
and put the binocular command station up top
cos the drummer buffs in a radius
when i get a better engine i can do that and put walls to protect the guy up top.
it was hard fighting the build imitations
wouldnt let me put a bridge going vertical to close up the hole i made for a ladder
i like how easy the car carrier was to put on top but i can build it now for less weight
and more tankier as each peice has an individual hp pool
not one hp pool getting hit constantly, not to mention the car carrier uses advanced crafting mats to build.
Ok cantilever shelves just changed the whole game........

and yes this is the small trailer

it allowed me to make the trailer wider and i could then put shields around the stations and utilities, not to mention the second tier is going to be perfect to put guns and drums on when i get a better engine.

From my testing, alot of those special pieces do block shots from hitting your crew... like if it looks like its got a spot for a gunner odds are that spot was made with people putting gunners there in mind. Sometimes you do need to beef up the coverage with some armor walls on some of those pieces but yeah in general they block things.
