How to escape the Policeman

Hay,
I played the first one (Even the original) and loved it.

But with this one, i can't seem to escape the Policeman.

First, he finds me without me making any noise or having the FLashlight on, and then he chases me for 10 minutes straight without any chance for me to hide or outrun him.

I even restarted the game on Easy.

Any Tipps?

I can only speak for medium in the first building. You are just slightly fast then him and you have a lot more stamina then in the first game. (If I remember correctly)
One simple method I found is to run away from him for an entire floor. Once you brought some space between you and him, run into a staircase all to the top. If he doesn't see you go up, he won't follow. At least that works for me so far.

I feel your pain. The original felt far more thematic in terms of how omniscient the "prowlers" were as well as giving you far more options to escape. Unfortunately, the cops are the least frustrating part.

Wait, does this mean that they never fixed the game, as in the Stalkers seeing through walls and being omniscient?

I don't think so. At this point, I'm just waiting for a full one-shot walkthrough for the true ending so I can go through this game once and be done with it.
