Tutorial from 360 version missing?

Greetings. Waiting on the PS4 port, but for the Steam version, from what I'm hearing on the Elixir shmup discord channel, the tutorial that was in the Xbox 360 version that explained the mechanics of each version of the game is missing from this port? Seems like that's something that absolutely should be included if it is indeed missing?

Also, someone was mentioning that when selecting which version of the game they wanted to play that the game version titles at the title select screen were only appearing in Japanese and not English, so he had no idea which one he was actually selecting. I hope that's some sort of region issue.

Correct on both points. Also, the anti aliasing option does not appear to be working.

Hopefully these are addressed in the future with a patch, I really don't understand why these issues exist since this is basically a port of the 360 version. Not sure about the AA issue though.

Yup, can confirm.
If you can't read japanese, title selection is rather difficult. They are all color coded (Red, Green, Purple), but which is which isn't inherently obvious.
Since this is my first time playing this, i wouldn't have known that there was a tutorial, but i did miss a demo at least.
A shame, as the game seems to be quite deep mechanically.

Here is the tutorial for slash mode, the "red" mode selected by default. The mode is really well designed, the tutorial is worth a watch to understand how the game wants to be played.

Whichever runs in 4:3 aspect ratio is the classic arcade mode, the one mode left over will be the home console port of that :)

I just watched a twitch stream of the PS4 version, and regarding the game version select menu, the PS4 version DOES have English text to identify which version of the game you're selecting. But for whatever reason the English text for the game versions is missing from the Steam release.

Seems TUTORIAL mode is missing from both the PS4 and Steam versions though, that really needs to be patched in so players can understand the mechanics of each version of the game.

It's a bit weird that the developer hasn't commented on this at all, at least here on steam, even though they are reading the discussions and responding to some points.
Missing tutorial, missing mode translations, missing screen-smoothing and occasionally ear piercing laser sounds are the things I hope will be patched soon.
